The Brand

La Gloria Cubana

The Cuban brand was created in 1885 by the Sociedad Cabañas y Castro and bought in 1905 by José F. Rocha, later of Bolívar fame. After his death in 1954 the Cifuentes family moved it to the Partagás factory. In Miami, the Pérez-Carrillo family's El Credito made a separate non-Cuban La Gloria Cubana, sold to General Cigar in 1999.
